Evan — November 2024

Evan had a quiet November. The highlight of the month was attending a Slowdive concert at the Paramount Theatre in Brooklyn with some school friends. Everyone enjoyed the concert and a night out in New York City. Also in November, Evan relaxed on the several school days off, including Veteran’s Day and Thanksgiving weekend. It was a good month for spending time with friends and family and working out at the gym.

Wyatt — November 2024

Wyatt had another busy month in November. The Bedford Bears travel hockey team continued its full schedule of practices and games, except for Thanksgiving weekend. The Fox Lane varsity ice hockey team started practices, first casually then officially. After their annual Skate with the Foxes gathering, the Foxes started the season with a bang, playing three quick games in a tournament over the long Thanksgiving weekend. Wyatt also spent time with family and friends, including a movie night with his Bears teammates.

Wyatt — October 2024

Wyatt had a very full October. The fall travel baseball season with the Red Foxes ended. The Bedford Bears travel hockey team played a full schedule of games. Wyatt got into Fox Lane spirit at some football games. He traveled into Manhattan on a Friday night to watch his Mom’s friend’s jazz band. At the end of the month, he celebrated Halloween with friends in Bedford Village.

Evan — October 2024

Evan had a good October. He was cleared by his orthopedist and returned to the football field, playing a couple of games for the Fox Lane varsity football team. One of those games was homecoming, after which he attended the school dance. He also spent time with family and friends in October, including a couple of Halloween parties.

Evan — September 2024

September was back to school time. Evan settled in to his sophomore year of high school. Evan got injured in a pre-season football scrimmage and was unable to practice or play in any regular season varsity football games in September. He attended all the practices and games, though, supporting the team and pitching in when he could. Also in September, Evan enjoyed spending time with friends and helped both Dad and Nonna celebrate their birthdays.

Wyatt — September 2024

Wyatt had a busy September. He had his final first day at Fox Lane Middle School and dove into the challenges of eighth grade. Wyatt had a big sports month, playing for the Red Foxes 13U travel baseball team and the Bedford Bears 14U travel ice hockey team. Both teams made a good showing in the month, winning games and playing well. Wyatt was also able to spend time with friends and family in September when he was not at school or a sporting event.

Wyatt — August 2024

Wyatt had a relaxing August. The highlight of the month was a trip to Wisconsin to visit family and enjoy a few days of vacation. Everyone had a nice time. Later in the month, the Red Foxes 13U baseball team played in a tournament at Diamond Nation in central New Jersey. Toward the end of the month, practices started for the Bedford Bears 14U travel ice hockey team.

Evan — August 2024

Evan had a good August. The EA Baseball 15U travel team finished the summer season with a tournament upstate in Cortland, NY. The Fox Lane varsity football team started practices for the fall season. Evan continued working as a lifeguard for the Town of Bedford pools whenever he could find time. In between baseball and football, the family squeezed in a short trip to Wisconsin, visiting family and seeing a few sights, including walking around the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus on a warm summer day.

Evan — July 2024

Evan stayed busy in July even with school closed. The EA Baseball 15U travel team continued play in the Greater Hudson Valley Baseball League and went to a showcase tournament in Rhode Island. He worked out with the Fox Lane varsity football team in the early mornings. Later in the day, Evan continued working as a lifeguard for the Town of Bedford pools, putting in many shifts.
