Wyatt is 59 months (four years and eleven months) old. Wyatt had a great month. Last month the main events were Christmas (see an earlier post for those photos), the New Year, and winter break. Over the holiday break, Wyatt and Evan went to see their first Broadway show in New York, ‘School of Rock.’ A couple of days later, they saw the Big Apple Circus for the first time thanks to Nonna and Granddad. Wyatt also helped Evan and Granddad celebrate their birthdays, went to the train show at the New York Botanical Garden, and spent time with friends. The winter continued unusually warm, but there was just enough snow for Wyatt to try out his snowball shooter. There was plenty of man-made snow at Mohawk Mountain for Wyatt to ski last week for the first time this winter.

Happy Holidays! Everyone had a very nice Christmas. All went to Rutherford, NJ on Christmas Eve. We opened presents at home Christmas morning and had a lovely holiday dinner in the evening after playing with new toys. On the 27th, Nonna and Granddad visited for more holiday fun. Here is a photo gallery of just some of the many pictures we took on those three days.

Evan is seven years old. Happy birthday, Evan! He had a good month. Last month the main events were Thanksgiving and Christmas. Photos from Christmas will appear in a later post. Evan went to some birthday parties and a Harlem Wizards game at the high school. Evan played outside a bit because the weather was so warm. He also went to Manhattan to enjoy a city holiday. He saw the Grand Central Terminal train show, store windows, and Macy’s Santa Land with Nonna and Granddad. At Macy’s, he met Santa, as he did again at the Community House a couple of weeks later. Two favorite school activities were an art show at the high school of art co-created with a high school friend and a holiday cookie making event, followed the next day by a cookie exchange.

Wyatt also went to a couple of birthday parties and a Harlem Wizards game at the high school. Because the weather was unusually warm, Wyatt also spent time playing outside. Wyatt went to Manhattan to enjoy a city holiday, including visits to Grand Central Terminal, store windows, and Macy’s Santa Land with Nonna and Granddad. At Macy’s, Wyatt met Santa, which he did again at the Community House a couple of weeks later.

Evan is 83 months (six years and eleven months) old. The very big occasion last month was Halloween. Evan enjoyed Halloween for almost a week, including the Halloween parade in Katonah, a costume parade and class party at Bedford Hills Elementary, the Bedford Hills Library Halloween parade, and a house party and trick-or-treating in Bedford Hills. Evan was all in yellow, dressed as Pikachu from Pokemon.

Other activities last month included the end of the fall soccer season, bowling in a full-sized bowling alley, and a trip to a community theater production of The Wizard of Oz, not to mention plenty of play dates and guitar lessons.

Wyatt is 57 months (four years and nine months) old. After seeming months of anticipation, Halloween finally arrived last month. Wyatt’s Halloween celebration lasted almost a week, including the Halloween parade in Katonah, the Bedford Hills Library Halloween parade, and trick-or-treating in Bedford Hills. Wyatt was proud to be dressed as a fire fighter. There was also Jack o’Lantern carving last month, some play dates, and a birthday party. Also included in this month’s pictures are a couple of pictures from Katonah Playcare, where Wyatt continues to enjoy his final year of preschool.

Evan is 82 months (six years and ten months) old. Evan had a typical month. It was less busy than last month but still action packed. Evan continued his soccer and tennis and guitar lessons. He started an after school music class once a week. Fun away from school included a couple of kids’ birthday parties, Nonna’s birthday, a trip to Manhattan with Nonna and Granddad, fishing, bowling, apple picking, and the autumn train show at Lasdon Park.

Wyatt is 56 months (four years and eight months) old. Wyatt had a good month. He settled in to a weekday routine, though sick days forced him to miss a few days of school. He stayed fairly busy on the weekends. Highlights of the month included a couple of birthday parties, a trip to Manhattan with Nonna and Granddad, fishing, bowling, and apple picking.

Evan is 81 months (six years and nine months) old. Evan had one of his busier months so far. At the beginning of September, Evan started first grade. The family took advantage of the very warm late summer weather and spent a lot of time outdoors. Activities in the last month included a trip to Field Station: Dinosaurs in New Jersey, a trip to visit friends in Poughkeepsie, NY, several local play dates, two separate trips to Sag Harbor on the east end of Long Island, and a back to school picnic at Bedford Hills Elementary School. The second trip to Sag Harbor included the boys’ annual visit to Hank’s Pumpkintown in Watermill, NY. Of course there were lots of pictures, a few of which are in this month’s gallery.

Wyatt is 55 months (four years and seven months) old. Wyatt had an extremely busy month. He has been on the go for most of the past month, including the first two weeks of his last year of preschool. Wyatt is excited to be back at school and to be going every day, including two extended days per week.
