Wyatt is 73 months (six years and one month) old. Wyatt had an eventful month. School was closed for the President’s Week break. Wyatt and family started that week with a ski trip to Vermont, and then Grandma came to visit from Wisconsin. Everyone enjoyed spending time together and doing things for Wyatt’s birthday. The last of those was a birthday party with friends at House of Sports. More recently, school was closed for some snow days as well as time off for parent-teacher conferences. Wyatt has been staying busy with friends’ birthday parties, indoor soccer, and a winter baseball clinic at Pro Swing. Wyatt and Evan also got to see Dan TDM live in New York City at the Beacon Theater.

Evan is 98 months (eight years and two months) old. Last month was full of birthday parties, snow days, and sick days, not to mention the Super Bowl and Valentine’s Day. The highlight for Evan was a belated birthday party with his friends. The party was at House of Sports in Ardsley, NY. It included football, kick ball, and dodge ball. The boys and girl all had a great time.

Wyatt is six years old. Happy Birthday, Wyatt! It was a busy month. Among the highlights were attending some birthday parties (including Evan’s party for his friends), the Super Bowl, and Valentine’s Day. There has recently been some snow, and Wyatt spent as much time as he could playing in it. Unfortunately, Wyatt was also sick a couple of times last month but seems to be fully recovered. Wyatt also lost his first tooth a couple of weeks ago.

Evan is 97 months (eight years and one month) old. Last month started out with the end of the winter break and New Year’s weekend. That weekend, Evan and family went skiing at Catamount ski area and then at Gore Mountain in the southern Adirondacks. They stayed at Great Escape Lodge and enjoyed its indoor water park after the ski lifts closed. After school resumed, Evan and Wyatt made a project for the school wide academic fair. There was plenty of time spent indoors with friends over the break and on weekends. And Evan and Wyatt also attended their first hockey game, a reward for their holiday reading.

Wyatt is 71 months (five years and eleven months) old. Last month included some belated Christmas activities as well as winter break from school. Wyatt and family spent the second break weekend (around New Year’s Day) skiing at Catamount and Gore Mountain and relaxing at Six Flags Great Escape Lodge. The second week of the year, Evan and Wyatt participated in a school academic fair. As a reward for reading over the break, Wyatt and Evan got tickets to a minor league hockey game. The boys also attended a couple of birthday parties last month.

Evan is eight years old. Happy birthday, Evan! It was a busy month of holiday festivity, including Thanksgiving and Christmas, followed closely by Evan’s birthday on Boxing Day. Evan and Wyatt went to Manhattan to look at shop windows and have a visit with Santa at Macy’s. They also went to a Harlem Wizards basketball game that was a fund-raiser for their school. Right before winter break, Evan took cupcakes to school that he helped to make. Evan also had one of those cupcakes on Christmas Eve and on his birthday. On each occasion, there was a candle to blow out. Evan had a nice Christmas and birthday.

Wyatt is 70 months (five years and ten months) old. The big events last month were Thanksgiving and Christmas. There were several events at school commemorating the holidays, including the Thanksgiving bread feast, candy house building, and carolling in the community. The school also held an all star basketball game with the Harlem Wizards as a fund-raiser. The first accumulating snow of the season fell, and Wyatt and Evan took full advantage of the wintry conditions. Wyatt also attended a birthday party for a good friend. Wyatt is now looking forward to ten days of relaxing and sleeping in over the winter break.

Evan is 95 months (seven years and eleven months) old. Several of last month’s events were related to Halloween. There were three costume parades: one around town sponsored by the library, one in Katonah, and one at school on Halloween. The latter was followed by a small classroom party. That evening, Evan and Wyatt went trick-or-treating around their neighborhood. Evan dressed up as Dan TDM, a YouTube personality who makes videos about Minecraft and other games. The big fall sport, Pound Ridge Flag Football, came to an end with a ‘championship’ game on the turf field at the high school. Evan’s team, the Seahawks, won every game. Evan scored at least one touchdown in six of his seven games, including two in the final game at Fox Lane High School. Fall soccer also ended a couple of weeks ago.

Wyatt is 69 months (five years and nine months) old. The main events of last month surrounded Halloween. Wyatt celebrated the holiday with three costume parades, including one at school. Later on Halloween, Wyatt went trick-or-treating around the neighborhood. For all of the dress-up occasions, Wyatt went as General Grievous, a commander of the Republic in Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith.

Evan is 94 months (seven years and ten months) old. The school calendar has included several days off in the past month. Evan has been keeping busy. A favorite fall activity is one final trip of the year to Long Island over a long weekend. Due to the school calendar, this year’s trip was a little later than usual. The weather was on the cool side, so there wasn’t much beach time this year. There were two visits to Hank’s Pumpkintown in Water Mill, NY, including many farm and autumnal activities. Other day off activities included a sports day in Stamford and hiking Turkey Mountain, near Yorktown, NY. Fall ball Little League baseball recently ended. Evan and Wyatt’s team, the Shark Bears, won 10 of the 11 games they played. Evan continues to play flag football early on Saturday mornings. He has enjoyed it and has scored several touchdowns.
