Wyatt — October 2022

In October of 2022, Wyatt continued to be busy with school and hockey. The Bears hockey team practiced twice and played two games per week. Most of the teams in the Bears organization went to a tournament in Rochester, NY the fourth weekend of the month. Wyatt’s 12U A team played hard against difficult competition but won only one of the four games they played.

Also in October, Wyatt filled in a couple of times for his old Northern Westchester Thunder baseball team as the fall baseball season wound down.

On the social front, Wyatt went to a bowling birthday party at the beginning of the month and celebrated Halloween with friends in Bedford Village at the end of the month.

Evan — September 2022

In September of 2022, Evan was busy with school, sports, and School of Rock. Evan’s last year of middle school began on September 1. He played fall baseball with both the Red Foxes 14U and 15U teams. Fox Lane modified football practices started, and the the team played its first game around the end of the month. Also late in the month, Evan performed two performances of the Arena Rock show with School of Rock Bedford. Evan also found a little bit of time to socialize with his friends.

Wyatt — September 2022

Sports and school were the themes of September 2022 for Wyatt. His Bears hockey team started on-ice practices at the beginning of the month and started playing games shortly thereafter. Wyatt filled in a couple of times for his old Northern Westchester Thunder baseball team. Wyatt started middle school at Fox Lane on September 1 and settled in to new routines. Wyatt also helped Dad and Nonna celebrate their September birthdays.

Evan — August 2022

In August of 2022, Evan continued to hone his golf game. The big event of the month was a trip to Wisconsin, the first since 2019. Some of the vacation activities were golf and mini golf, the Wisconsin State Fair, a Brewers game, biking, and spending time with family. Before heading home, Evan and Wyatt did a very quick bit of sightseeing in downtown Chicago. Near the end of the month, Evan started practices and games with the new Red Foxes travel baseball organization.

Wyatt — August 2022

Wyatt had an eventful month in August of 2022. Both of his baseball teams made it to the second week of the Greater Hudson Valley Baseball League playoffs. The Northern Westchester Thunder team lost the championship game. After championship weekend, the family took a trip to Wisconsin, their first in three years. Vacation activities included golf and mini golf, the Wisconsin State Fair, a Brewers game, and spending time with family. Before heading home, Wyatt and Evan very briefly stopped in downtown Chicago for a bit of sightseeing.

Later in the month, Wyatt honed his hockey skills at a short hockey camp. He and Evan also got in a few more rounds of golf before heading back to school on September 1.

Evan — July 2022

Evan’s July of 2022 involved a lot of baseball and a little golf. Near the end of the month, he wrapped up the summer travel baseball season with the Northern Westchester Thunder. The EA/LBA Lightning 13U team also finished its regular season. Prior to that, the team went down to Aberdeen, Maryland, for a week-long Ripken Experience tournament. The 13U division of the tournament included teams from Canada, Michigan, Tennessee, Texas, and West Virginia. EA/LBA won a few games and finished at the top of the consolation bracket. Back at home, Evan attended a quick, three-day golf camp.

Wyatt — July 2022

Wyatt had a quieter month in July of 2022. He played baseball, watched baseball, and tried out for a future baseball team. Both of Wyatt’s travel baseball teams finished regular season play for the summer season. The Northern Westchester Thunder 11U team won the regular season title in 11U Division 4. The Lewisboro Lightning Gray 12U team finished the regular season with a record around 0.500 in 12U Division 4. Wyatt also traveled with his family to Aberdeen, Maryland, to watch Evan play in a week-long Ripken Experience tournament.

Evan — June 2022

Evan finished seventh grade in June of 2022. He was also very busy with baseball. He worked out with the Red Foxes, finished the spring season and started the summer season with EA/LBA Lightning, and started the summer travel season with the Northern Westchester Thunder. At the end of the spring GHVBL season, Evan’s Lightning team won the 13U championship. The team ended the season with a 9-1 record, and their single loss was only by one run. Evan also made his first trip to Baseball Heaven on Long Island for a weekend tournament with the Lightning.

Wyatt — June 2022

Wyatt had a very busy June of 2022. He played in the BHKLL rec baseball all star game and started the summer travel baseball season. With the fifth graders, he went on field trips to an amusement park and a ropes course. He played two School of Rock Bedford Power Pop performances and played one of those songs again in Connecticut at a best-of-season show that included three Schools of Rock. Finally, Wyatt graduated from Bedford Hills Elementary School and participated in a nice moving up ceremony. At the ceremony, Wyatt received an award for being a good citizen in grade school. Congratulations, Wyatt!

Evan — May 2022

Evan had a busy May of 2022 with school and baseball. The Fox Lane modified baseball team wrapped up a successful season, going 7-4-1, including a romp over Port Chester on baseball homecoming day. Also in May, Evan helped Mom celebrate Mother’s Day, and enjoyed spending time with friends and family, including a Friday night barbecue.
