Evan is three years and ten months (46 months) old. He had another busy month. The highlight of the past month was a trip to Sag Harbor, Long Island, NY to help Nonna celebrate her birthday a little early. Photos of that trip can be seen in a previous post. Evan also started taking a T Ball class on Mondays given by the Sports Squirts organization. Evan is not really loving it yet, but he enjoys being outside and playing with other kids. Evan goes to preschool three mornings per week, and once a week he stays at Katonah Playcare for a program called Pee Wee Picassos. The exciting part of it is that Evan eats lunch at school, the first time he has had a chance to eat lunch out of the house with his friends and not with any family members.

Wyatt is now 20 months (one year and eight months) old. Wyatt has made some progress in his speaking recently. His vocabulary consists of at least a few dozen words. He is still working on his enunciation, but Mom and Dad can understand him most of the time. He is also frequently using two-word and some three-word sentences. The progress has been fairly quick, much like Evan’s was.

The highlight of the past month was a trip to Sag Harbor, Long Island, NY to help Nonna celebrate her birthday a little early. Photos of that trip can be seen in the previous post. Wyatt has started learning to ride a tricycle, and he has been working on bouncing and jumping. He is also almost totally eating big kid food except for fruits and vegetables, which he will still only eat if they are pureed.

The boys and Mom went to Sag Harbor in September to help Nonna celebrate her birthday a few days early. The weather was nice, though seasonably cool, so the boys played on the beach but did not go in the water. They also played elsewhere and did some early Autumnal activities.

Evan is three years and nine months (45 months) old. He had a fairly busy month. The highlight of the month was a family summer vacation to the Sesame Place theme park in Pennsylvania and the New Jersey Shore. Pictures of that vacation can be viewed in this post.

Evan also spent time playing in the park and going to the pool. The last week of August, he attended a sports camp called Sports Squirts, where he played a different sport each day of the week. Then in early September, Evan headed back to Katonah Playcare for his third year of preschool.

Wyatt is 19 months (one year and seven months) old. He had a fairly busy month. Wyatt also spent time with friends and family and playing in the park. Wyatt’s language skills continue to improve, and he is growing well.

Everyone went on a summer vacation the last week of August, 2012. We went to Sesame Place in Langhorne, Pennsylvania and Point Pleasant Beach on the New Jersey Shore. And a couple of days later, we went to Splash Down Beach, a water park in Fishkill, New York for the final day of their season. Other highlights included two evenings of carnival rides at Jenkinson’s Boardwalk in Point Pleasant and a trip to Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ. It all added up to six days out of nine of rides. The weather was decent, and the kids had a great time.

Evan is three years and eight months (44 months) old. His busy summer is slowly coming to an end. His day camps are finished. Last week he completed a one week multiple sports camp in a program called Sports Squirts. He has continued to spend time playing inside and out and enjoys the water very much. After a short vacation and a week off, Evan will begin his next year of preschool in early September.

Wyatt is 1-1/2 years old. He weighs 26 pounds and is 32-1/2 inches tall. He had a quiet month. His speech is improving little by little. He uses more than a dozen words. And the lower front tooth that seemed to be missing is finally coming in.

Evan is three years and seven months (43 months) old. He is having a busy summer. He goes to day camp four mornings per week, two each at Katonah Playcare and American Gymnastics. He takes swimming lessons once a week. And he usually spends some time at a pool or playground a couple of afternoons a week, too. It has been hot, but he is having a lot of fun.

Wyatt is 17 months (one year and five months) old. Since it has been an especially hot summer in most of the U.S., Wyatt and family spent a lot of their free time trying to stay cool. Wyatt really enjoys playing in the water. Away from the pool, Wyatt is in a daredevil phase, climbing anything and everything. Mom and Dad have to watch him extra carefully.

Wyatt is still working on speaking, but he seems to be making incremental progress. Much like his big brother at the same age, Wyatt has a lot to say but hasn’t quite got down the English words to express his thoughts yet.
