Evan is ten years and one month old. Evan had a busy birthday month. He celebrated with family and a few close friends on his birthday. Just a few days ago, Evan celebrated again with some school friends at an indoor adventure park. The Bedford Hills boys spent a lot of time in the air. Also last month, Evan and family rang in the New Year by skiing in the Catskills. And Evan went to a friend’s birthday party and a minor league hockey game. The St. Mary’s basketball team resumed their game schedule, but the team’s struggles continue.

Wyatt is 95 months (seven years and eleven months) old. It was a month of celebrations and observances. There was Christmas, New Year’s Eve and Day, Evan’s birthday, some friends’ birthday parties, and a birthday party for Evan. The hockey league took a week off for Christmas and are now back to the usual weekly schedule. The Bears White 1 team lost their first game since October but have since started a new winning streak. Wyatt and family went skiing in the Catskill Mountains at the end of the year and are looking forward to more skiing soon. Right after school resumed, BHES held its bi-annual academic fair. Wyatt and a friend entered a physics project that was well received.

Evan is ten years old. Happy Birthday, Evan! Last month was full of sports. The St. Mary’s basketball team starting playing games on Thanksgiving weekend. The boys’ fourth grade team has struggled and has yet to win, but they have been working hard. Basketball games will resume in the new year. Also in sports, Evan’s indoor flag football team won the championship a couple of weeks ago. The boys were very excited.

Evan had a nice Christmas and is enjoying his school break after a busy autumn.

Wyatt is 94 months (seven years and ten months) old. It has been another busy month. Thanksgiving and its four-day weekend started the month off. Wyatt enjoyed a nice Thanksgiving dinner with family followed by a trip to the movies. Later that weekend, Wyatt visited Manhattan with Nonna and Granddad. Wyatt went to two birthday parties last month. He also spent a lot of time in ice skates, including on the trip to NYC, at one of the birthday parties, and at many hockey games and practices. In the last hockey game of the calendar year, Wyatt had his second chance to play goalie. The team won that game, and the Bears White 1 team finished the autumn portion of the season with a 10-5 record.

Now Wyatt is looking forward to some rest and relaxation over the Christmas school break.

Evan is nine years and eleven months old. The big events in the past month were Halloween and Thanksgiving. On Halloween, Evan celebrated at school with a costume parade and snacks in the classroom. Later he and a few buddies gathered at a friend’s house then went trick or treating.

The late fall sports season was very busy, in spite of continued wet weather. Evan’s outdoor flag football team lost in a very spirited championship game by one point, the team’s first loss of the season. Indoor flag football continues, and travel basketball games have begun.

A strong early season snowstorm left enough snow for a weekend of sledding and caused the second cancelled school day of the school year.

Wyatt is 93 months (seven years and nine months) old. The highlight of last month was Halloween. Wyatt went to a Halloween party, celebrated at school, and gathered at a friend’s house then went trick or treating on Halloween night.

The extra-curricular schedule continued to be full of sports practices and games for Wyatt and Evan. Wyatt’s Bedford Bears hockey team heads into a short Thanksgiving break having won 2/3 of their games.

There was a fast-moving early snowstorm last week that left enough snow for sledding and building a snow fort.

Evan is nine years and ten months old. Last month was all about school and sports. The fall and winter sports seasons overlapped. Evan played fall baseball, flag football, and started basketball practice. School days started to become routine, though there were a few days off mixed into the schedule. In spare moments, the family started getting ready for Halloween, including buying costumes, decorating the house and treehouse, and buying and carving pumpkins. And there was time for visits with family and friends.

Wyatt is 92 months (seven years and eight months) old. Last month was steadily busy as Wyatt and family settled into the routine of the school year and the fall and winter sports seasons. Most weekend days and a couple of weeknights per week are spent playing or watching sports. Wyatt’s Bedford Bears team played their first 6:00 am game of the season, and Wyatt played goalie for the first time. Team White #1 is currently 3-4. School is going well, too. The weather has been cool, putting everyone in the mood for autumnal activities, including buying pumpkins and Halloween decorations.

Evan is nine years and nine months old. The end of August and September have been very busy. After a family trip to Sag Harbor on eastern Long Island for a few days of sun and fun, the boys went to the U.S. Open tennis tournament for the first time. Next was an overnight camping trip at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation. Evan helped Dad celebrate his birthday on Labor Day with a quiet day indoors, then school started the next day. There were other fun activities on days off from school, including a trip to Grand Prix NY and an afternoon at an apple orchard. Evan’s summer studies at School of Rock ended in two performances of “Pearl Jam versus Stone Temple Pilots” at The Heights at Brother Vic’s. Videos of all the songs are posted on YouTube. Also in September, Evan started the fall seasons of BHKLL baseball and Pound Ridge flag football.

Wyatt and family ended the summer with a trip to Sag Harbor on eastern Long Island for a few days of sun and fun. Then Wyatt went to the U.S. Open tennis tournament for the first time. Next was an overnight camping trip at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation. The boys helped Dad celebrate his birthday on Labor Day with a quiet day indoors, then school started the next day. Because of the school holiday schedule, Wyatt was able to get in a few more days of fun, including a trip to Grand Prix NY and an afternoon at an apple orchard. At school, the second graders had their first field trip of the year, to SoundWaters in Stamford, CT to learn more about the Long Island Sound. Away from school, the Bedford Bears hockey season started. There were several early morning practices and games as well as a few practices in the evening. Team White #1 is off to a 1-1 start.
