Evan is ten years and six months old. Last month saw spring turn into summer. Late spring activities included a town carnival, several school trips and activities, Father’s Day, the end of the spring recreational baseball season, and the last day of school. Evan was a Little League all star for the first time in his baseball career. Evan and his School of Rock band mates performed the music of CCR and The Band in concerts at two different venues. A couple of weeks later, they played two of the songs again at the best of season show at The Warehouse in Fairfield, CT. Links to YouTube videos of those songs are below.
- “Born on the Bayou” by CCR
- “King Harvest” by The Band
- “Lookin’ Out My Back Door” by CCR
- “The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down” by The Band
- “The Weight” by The Band
- “Up on Cripple Creek” by The Band

The first activity of the summer was a trip to Tampa, Florida. Photos from that trip will be in a future post. Other early summer activities included the beginning of the 10U summer travel baseball season and the start of town day camp.
