Evan had a fun May. The Fox Lane freshman baseball team wrapped up their season. Though it was a challenging season, the players worked hard, learned, and improved as the season went along. One school day, Fox Lane Middle School students participated in “Almost Anything Goes,” a competition between the three school houses.

The highlight of the month was a five-day trip to Orlando, Florida with the Fox Lane Middle School rock ensemble. They performed at Sea World and recorded at a studio at Walt Disney World. When not making music, the students spent time having fun at Sea World as well as three of the Disney parks.

Wyatt had a fairly busy month of May. There was spring modified hockey, Bedford Hills Katonah Little League and EA Baseball travel baseball. He went on a charter fishing trip on Long Island Sound and caught a striped bass. All of the middle school students participated in “Almost Anything Goes,” a competition between the three school houses. Wyatt also played drums with School of Rock Bedford in an all David Bowie show. It was the first of two performances, the second of which was scheduled for early June.

Evan did a variety of things in April. Though there were a few rainouts, the Fox Lane freshman baseball team started playing games. Early in the month, school was closed for Spring Break. The break was mostly uneventful, but Evan and Wyatt did spend a day enjoying rare April skiing at Mount Snow in Vermont. At the end of the break week, everyone celebrated Easter and Mom’s birthday. Once school reopened, the long countdown to the end of the school year began.

Wyatt continued to be a two sport athlete in the month of April. The spring modified hockey season continued, and the Bedford Hills Katonah Little League and travel baseball seasons began. Away from the diamond, Wyatt went on a sixth grade field trip to the Liberty Science Center in New Jersey. He played his trumpet at a solo music festival hosted by the New York State School Music Association. He received a nearly perfect score for his performance. He also went fishing and celebrated a friend’s birthday.
