Evan — December 2021

Evan turned 13 years old in December. Happy Birthday, Evan! His birthday included a trip to the mall. Christmas activities included plenty of baking, trimming the tree, lots of gifts, and Christmas dinner. After Christmas, there were two single day ski trips to Hunter Mountain in the Catskills. One of those was on the 31st, after which the family rang in the New Year at home.

Wyatt — December 2021

December of 2021 was merry. Hockey continued with a full schedule early in the month before tapering off later in the month for the holidays. Wyatt played trumpet in his first grade school band concert. Christmas activities included quite a bit of baking, the fifth grade holiday boutique, plenty of gifts, and Christmas dinner. After Christmas, Wyatt helped Evan celebrate his birthday, and there were two single day ski trips to Hunter Mountain in the Catskills. Wyatt also got the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine in December.

Evan — November 2021

November of 2021 was a transitional month. There were several days off from school for holidays. The Fox Lane modified football season ended. Evan played in a charity flag football tournament on Thanksgiving weekend. On Thanksgiving, the family enjoyed a quiet meal at home. Evan also spent some time with friends in November.

Wyatt — November 2021

November of 2021 featured sports and socializing. There were several days off from school for holidays. Hockey continued with a full schedule. Wyatt attended a friend’s birthday party and spent some time gathering with friends as well as Nonna and Granddad. The family enjoyed a quiet Thanksgiving dinner at home. Wyatt also got the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine in November.

Evan — October 2021

October of 2021 was a busy month. The travel baseball and modified football seasons continued. There were minimal interruptions due to the pandemic. For the Fox Lane football team, Evan was the only seventh grader to start on both offense and defense. The team played well as a unit and won a majority of its games. At the middle school, many students celebrated Halloween by going to school in costume on the Friday before the big day.

Wyatt — October 2021

October of 2021 was a fairly busy month. The travel baseball and hockey seasons continued. The Bears 10U-A hockey team continued twice-a-week practices as well as games on the weekends. Wyatt attended his first overnight hockey tournament in the greater Philadelphia area. Closer to home, many kids celebrated Halloween, which for Wyatt included a costume parade at his grade school and trick-or-treating with his friends on Halloween.

Evan — September 2021

More activities got going in September of 2021. School resumed with full-time in-person learning at the beginning of the month. Modified football practices began the week after school opened, and the Fox Lane team played its first game near the end of the month. The fall travel baseball season began. The family enjoyed a day trip to the New York Renaissance Faire. Evan helped Dad and Nonna celebrate their birthdays.

Wyatt — September 2021

Some things started to return to normal in September of 2021. School resumed with full-time in-person learning at the beginning of the month. The hockey season started, first with practices. Games began around the middle of the month. The fall travel baseball season began. The family enjoyed a day trip to the New York Renaissance Faire. Wyatt played in his first School of Rock concert, “One Hit Wonders.” Wyatt also helped his Dad and Nonna and one of his friends celebrate their birthdays, the latter at a small flag football party in the town park.
