Wyatt is 105 months (eight years and nine months) old. November was a bit less busy than the previous two months. There were a few days off of school for various holidays, including Thanksgiving. The highlight of the month at school was learning African drumming and dance. All of the work paid off with a presentation in the auditorium, followed by a party in the third grade classrooms.

On the ice, Wyatt’s Bedford Bears hockey team had a second consecutive undefeated month. Early in the month, Wyatt played goalie for the first time this season. Other extracurricular activities in November included another baseball tryout for a 2020 team, and a friend’s sports-themed birthday party.

In October, Evan was ten years and ten months old. Early in the month, Evan and his KISS band mates from the School of Rock Bedford performed two songs at the school best of season show in Norwalk, Connecticut. The Mount Kisco Maroons tackle football season continued and concluded near the end of the month. The fifth graders had their next fund-raiser, a pancake breakfast that was very successful. The month ended with Halloween. Festivities included a fifth grade brunch party, a school costume parade, and trick-or-treating with friends on Halloween night. A bit of wind and rain did not slow the boys down too much.

The fall baseball season ended in October. Wyatt’s team did not win any games, but the young team learned a lot, and Wyatt developed his pitching skills. Also in October sports, Wyatt’s Bedford Bears hockey team continued a winning streak that started the second week of the season.

In September, Evan was ten years and nine months old. Late August and September was an intense time period for Evan. At the end of August, Evan had football practices every weekday, which continued three times per week once school started. The Mount Kisco Maroons football team also had a game each weekend in September. Other late August activities were a trip to Sag Harbor on Long Island, a day at the US Open tennis tournament, and a trip to the Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk. In September, Evan started fifth grade, his last year at Bedford Hills Elementary School. The fifth grade class has fund-raisers throughout the school year, one of the first of which was a car wash in September.

Also in September, Evan and other students at the School of Rock Bedford performed two concerts of KISS songs. A YouTube video of the entire second show is embedded at the bottom of the gallery page. In early October, most of the band performed two of the songs again at a school-wide best of season show in Norwalk, Connecticut.

September highlights included the start of the new school year, the start of the hockey and fall baseball seasons, and various school and social events. Wyatt also started studying drumming at the Bedford School of Rock.
