There were several different activities in February of 2021. There was another snowstorm at the beginning of February that freshened up conditions for sledding, skiing, and other snow sports. Evan and Wyatt took their last two ski trips of the season to Catamount Mountain. Evan performed with the Bedford School of Rock playing a Hair Metal concert at a mostly empty Tarrytown Music Hall. The performance was recorded for later online viewing. Evan’s basketball team wrapped up their casual Saturday afternoon league. During the Presidents’ Week school break, Evan went to a daily half day coding camp at a local branch of Code Ninjas. Also over the break, Evan moved into his own room and slept in his new bed.

October of 2020 saw the return of some familiar activities, including a few with a twist. House-to-house trick-or-treating was replaced with trick-or-treating in the town park, at tables supplied by and staffed by local businesses. The School of Rock Bedford performed its summer shows in front of live audiences, but the shows were outdoors, and the performers were masked and safely spaced. Evan performed in the “Pop Punk” show. School continued in a hybrid model, with students attending alternately in-person and online. The kids still carved Jack O’Lanterns and got dressed up for Halloween, like any other year.
